The Indonesian National Student Movement and the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement who are members of the Indragiri Hilir Student Alliance visited the Regent’s Office, Monday, August 10, 2020.
The arrival of the Alliance aims to convey the aspirations of the community regarding the transparency of the Regional Expenditure Budget.
“We have come here to convey the aspirations of the community regarding the Regional Expenditure Budget budget which has not been known to the public,” said Bung Jepe, Korlap in the action.
He continued, this action requested that the transparency of the Regional Expenditure Budget be accessible in cyberspace by all levels of society.
“Now that technology is very sophisticated, transparency should be easier, let alone related to the Regional Expenditure Budget,” he explained.
After conveying its aspirations for a long time, the government finally accepted the demonstrations, which in this case was represented by Assistant 1 Tantawi Jauhari who was accompanied by Kaban Kesbangpol Aslimuddin and Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency, Mister T.
“Alhamdulillah, this afternoon we only received our children or younger siblings from the Indragiri Hilir Student Alliance who expressed their desire for transparency in the regional planning mechanism in Inhil,” said Tantawi.
The demonstrators hoped that a transparent regional planning mechanism would produce an excellent development program. Because they think that if the plan is wrong, maybe the goals of development can not be achieved.
“I really appreciate what this student has done. Because so far I have known that there are rules made by the central and regional governments that provide room for transparency regarding regional budgets,” he explained.
Finally, Tantawi said that they hoped that the rules could be realized even though they also realized that not all of the rules could be implemented in such a fast way, all had to go through processes and stages in planning then in implementation and accountability so far.
“We welcome that, but all of that requires a process in implementing the existing regulations and hopefully we can make it happen later. This is a good thing because our young generation is very concerned, hopefully it will be even better in the future. , “he concluded.
