Marcos Rojo has announced that his loan with Estudiantes has ended and he will be returning to Manchester United.
Last week, Rojo revealed that he has held talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regarding his future at United and admitted he was keen to extend his stay with Estudiantes in Argentina.
But Rojo has now confirmed that he will be leaving the club and returning to United.
“When I found out that I was returning to Estudiantes a few months ago, I said that it didn’t matter how long this return lasted and that I just wanted to enjoy the happiness that being home again generated for me!” Rojo posted on Instagram.
The 30-year-old returned to his boyhood club in January for the remainder of the season but due to an ankle injury and the coronavirus pandemic, the defender made just one appearance.
