The Riau Province Information Commission, conducted a visit to Indragiri Hilir Regency to provide an assessment of Public Information Openness in the area, on Monday, August 10, 2020.
This activity in the form of Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) for Public Information Services was led directly by the Head of the Riau Province Information Commission Zufra Irawan and a number of Information Commission Commissioners, including Alnocrizal and several others.
After carrying out these activities, Zufra said, monev or assessment of all Main Information and Documentation Management Officers in Riau Province in the context of rating information services for Public Bodies 2020 as mandated by Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Openness.
“Our arrival here is none other than carrying out the mandate of the Law on the Provincial Information Commission,” he explained.
It is also part of the ranking of openness in public bodies. With the aim of improving the management and services of the Provincial Information Commission itself.
Meanwhile, Trio Beni Putra, Head of the Communication and Informatics Department of Indragiri Hilir, explain that the presence of the monev team from the Riau Information Commission was expect to provide input, advice and encouragement to the Indragiri Hilir Regency Government.
“In particular, the Indragiri Hilir Communication and Informatics Office highly appreciates this visit, because there are many inputs and directions in the implementation of public information disclosure,” said Trio. Besides that, he continued, we also know a lot about the steps that must be taken in improving the management of public information in the future.
