A number of residents in Pekanbaru have complained about the internet network having been down or down.
The complaint emerged after the fire at the Telkom Pekanbaru building.
Learning online was interrupted.
One resident, Elis, said that internet disruption for Wi-Fi facilities at his house had occurred since the fire on Tuesday (11 August).
He said Telkom’s internet network was not functioning, even though Telkomsel’s network had recovered.
“We have been using IndiHome so that our children can do homework from their teachers via WhatsApp messages.”
“But we cannot use the IndiHome network at all,” said Elis, Wednesday (12 August 2020).
He hopes that related parties can immediately improve the internet network.
