A man in a wheelchair was killed in Sylmar late Tuesday when a truck struck him, police said.
The crash occurred in the 13900 block of Foothill Boulevard, just southeast of Astoria Street, at around 9:50 p.m., according to police.
The man, who died at the scene, was found lying in the middle of the street.
His smashed wheelchair was nearby.
It’s not clear how the crash occurred.
Traffic detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department were not available for comment.
Police said the driver of the truck, a Ford 5-250, stayed at the scene.
Police have not released the identity of the man in the wheelchair.
