A thief in the Indian state of Gujarat accidentally commits suicide while trying to rob a bank.
Reportedly, he accidentally slashed his neck with an electric cutter, which he used to cut down the strong room of the private bank.
Indian Twitter user shared details of the incident that took place on Saturday night.
But it was reported by an Indian news channel on Monday.
According to him, the thief had penetrated the plate in the tightly secured room.
The cutter moving in his hand accidentally hit his neck and killed him on the spot.
Bank vigilance staff who noticed suspicious activity on CCTV cameras alerted the bank manager on Saturday night.
Next, around 1 am, the body of the thief, found by the manager, was covered in blood, in the vault.
The manager also alerted the police, who reached the place at around 1:30 am.
The thief was later identified as Nitin Vora.
According to a Press Trust of India (PTI) report, police officers said that thieves were registered under IPC articles 380 (theft) and 511 (attempted to commit offenses).
His body was handed over to his family members after an examination of the corpse, he added.
