Once a viral video of the bullying of nine girls against their friends in Alun-alun Kidul, Pasar Kliwon, Solo, went viral.
Now the police have released eight of the nine suspected perpetrators of the bullying.
It is known that this case was handled by the investigating team from the Solo Police and the Pasar Kliwon Police.
“Alhamdulillah, we managed to identify eight people who were suspected of being the perpetrators of bullying as circulating on social media,” said the Head of Solo Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak.
In addition, continued Ade, the police have also asked the perpetrators for information regarding the video.
“Currently, investigators are only making legal constructs from the events that occurred,” said Ade.
Asked whether they were detained, Ade said that the eight people suspected of being the perpetrators were not detained. Because, all of them are still minors.
“There were no arrests. Eight people suspected of being the perpetrators of bullying are still minors. We will apply the Child Protection Law in the investigation,” he added.
Previously reported, the police arrested nine young women in Solo, Central Java, for allegedly abusing a friend.

The video of bullying by a group of young women went viral on social media.

Adis said the bullying took place in the Alun-alun Kidul Keraton Solo, Pasar Kliwon District, Solo, Central Java, on Monday, August 10, 2020 afternoon.
