A video of a teenage girl being bullied and slapped by another group of teenagers went viral and shocked Solo residents yesterday morning.
The incident occurred in Alun-alun Kidul, Pasar Kliwon, Solo.
The video is 30 seconds long. It appears that the victim was forced to say something that the perpetrators shouted at.
One of the perpetrators even slapped the victim in the face.
The victim was seen almost crying after being slapped.
Kapolsek Pasar Kliwon AKP Adis Dani Garta confirmed the incident.
“That was the incident last Monday, at 04.00 pm.
The location is correct, in Alun-alun Kidul,” Adis told reporters at the Kliwon Market Police Headquarters.
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pasar Kliwon Police has arrested nine people who are suspected of being the perpetrators.
The police have also examined the nine people and a number of witnesses.
The Head of Solo Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, added that the perpetrators were still children.
The case was also handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) Satreskrim Polresta Solo.
