Since September 2015, a French foreigner named Marius Moragues started traveling around Indonesia.
The first time he arrived in Jambi, Marius did not expect that he would gradually fall in love with Indonesia to capture all the moments.
He snapped those moments and immortalized them in a photography book entitled BEYOND JAVA which will be released this month.

“To this day, I still have fond memories of those moments,” said Marius.
From that trip, Marius Moragues started a photo project called Imperfect Frame.
Finally, he decided to pay homage to Indonesia through the art of photography.
For the past two years, he has been traveling to Java and Bali.
The diverse culture of Indonesia and the long distance between regions made him attracted to delve deeper into its beauty.
Marius Moragues said that not many people realize that Indonesia is a country that stretches over 5,000 kilometers.
The distance is the same as London to Kabul in Afghanistan, or wider than Europe, and Indonesia has three different time zones.
The emotions that exist between the children and their parents, continued Marius, are genuine and natural emotions.
They never wear masks and are always themselves.
“They always smile.”
“I have never met children who were as enthusiastic as children in Indonesia before,” said Marius.
For Marius, humans are not like the animals you photograph in zoos.
They have a soul, a story, and deserve their time and attention.
