The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 in Indragiri Hilir Regency finally opened up about the reasons for the existence of some social assistance for people affected by Covid-19 that had not been distributed until now, on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 afternoon.
According to Trio Beni Putra, spokesperson for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling, Trio Beni Putra, that social assistance which is part of the Social Safety Net has not been distributed to this day. As with the Financial Aid for Riau Province and Indragiri Hilir Regency which was hampered by document preparation.
“Initially, the document was signed by the Head of Social Service of Indragiri Hilir Regency. However, the latest changes to the document must be signed by the Regent of Indragiri Hilir,” said Trio Beni through a written statement.
The Dismaping, said Trio, could not be signed by the Head of the Tembilahan Post but must be signed by the Regional Head of the Post Office in Padang, West Sumatra.
“This process has been running since some time ago. It is estimated that on Monday all documents will be completed, including accounts at BRI, so we will realize it according to the allocation through the Tembilahan Post Office,” said Trio.
Trio said, 14,428 beneficiary families were targeted for special financial assistance for Riau Province and Indragiri Hilir Regency. This figure consists of basic food assistance for 7,827 beneficiary families and 6,601 beneficiary households.
Meanwhile, the percentage or realization of distribution for Cash Social Assistance originating from the Ministry of Social Affairs has so far reached 97 percent or 47,176 Beneficiary Families from a total of 48,296 Beneficiary Families.
“The distribution is carried out in 3 stages. The remaining 3 percent will be distributed to the next Social Cash Assistance which is planned for implementation in December 2020. However, there has been no follow-up by the central government regarding this matter,” Trio concluded.
