In early March 2020, a 15-month-old infant named Evelyn Mae Boswell was found dead. The victim was found dead on property belonging to her maternal grandfather named Tommy Boswell Sr. with the horrifying conditions. Before dying, the infant was considered a missing person last February 18, 2020.
At the end of March, Tennessee authorities have announced murder charges against the mother of the infant.
A grand jury indicted the mother of the infant named Megan Boswell, 18-year-old, on numerous charges, but the most serious of which were two counts of murder, and faces 19 counts in total.
Megan Boswell was initially arrested for allegedly filing a false report in the case.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Boswell was last seen back on December 26, 2019. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Megan Boswell killed Evelyn and disposed of her body on property belonging to her father.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, “TBI Agents continued to work alongside the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the circumstances leading to Evelyn’s death.”
For her act, Boswell faces two counts of Murder, one count of Aggravated Child Abuse, one count of Aggravated Child Neglect, one count of Tampering with Evidence, one count of Abuse of a Corpse, one count of Failure to Report a Death Under Suspicious, Unusual, or Unnatural Circumstances, and twelve counts of False Reports.
The case is now well beyond the person of interest territory.
