The Chinese government calls a party in a swimming pool in Wuhan a form of celebration in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19).
“This shows that Wuhan has won a strategic victory in its fight against the epidemic,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian at a press conference as quoted by AFP.
Wuhan is the initial epicenter of the coronavirus which has now infected more than 22 million people worldwide.
In addition, nearly 800 thousand people died because of it.
Not only on health issues, Covid-19 also paralyzes economic activity and triggers changes in people’s social life.
As a result of the Covid-19 case, Wuhan then ‘locked itself’ aka lockdown.
In April, the lockdown was lifted. Its residents slowly began to move outside the house.
The Hubei provincial government also offers free entry to 400 tourist sites in a number of provinces.
Recently, pictures and videos of a music party were circulating at the Wuhan Maya Beach Water Park.
In June 2020, this water park opened again after several months of hiatus.
This has also sparked outrage from the world because the party was considered to have ignored the Covid-19 health protocol.
