The handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in Indragiri Hilir deserves thumbs up. The reason is, it has been two weeks since there have been no new confirmed (positive) cases of the coronavirus.
Practically, there are no more confirmed patients being treated and isolated at this time.
“Alhamdulillah, it has been two weeks since there have been no confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Indragiri Hilir. Hopefully, the current condition can continue until Covid-19 is completely lost from this land,” Regent of Indragiri Hilir HM Wardan told the media in Tembilahan, Thursday, 20 August 2020.
The Regent also expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the Task Force Team and the community in the handling and prevention of Covid-19 in Indragiri Hilir so that the rate of spread of the virus can be controlled.
“All of this is certainly thanks to the collaboration of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team with the community. The hard work of the Task Force Team is accompanied by a level of public awareness in complying with and implementing health protocols,” said the Regent.
Based on daily data from the Covid-19 Task Force Team, there were 55 confirmed numbers in Indragiri Hilir since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
Of that number, 2 people died and 53 patients recovered and have returned home.
Meanwhile, the total people under monitoring or now known as the suspect in Indragiri Hilir were 14,274 people.
Of that number, 14,065 people finished isolation, and 202 people are still undergoing isolation.
“Hospital isolation only has one more person left and the rest are self-isolating. For the number of suspect patients who died, there are 7 people,” said Trio Beni Putra, spokesman for the Indragiri Hilir Covid-19 Task Force Team who confirmed this separately.
