Twitter user @GarnetSunset shared two photos of one of Nvidia ampere debit cards. The mark on the back is barely visible, but the mysterious graphics card appears to be a GeForce RTX 3090.
This is not the first time we see its strange design. But the graphics card is much larger than the GeForce RTX 2080. According to the data, the GeForce RTX 3090 is outputted by an I / O chip on three PCI slots. It remains to be seen if the aftermarket will follow the pattern. If so, we can take a look at the graphic cards that include AIO liquid coolers. That is gaining popularity or enthusiasts simply putting a water block on the graphics card. And rolling out a complete liquid cooling system.
The design of the triple holes definitely raises the question. Of whether the amp will attract a great deal of power. And hence if that is the case, why is this cooling so great. Initial rumors were already circulating that the flagship Ampere graphics card might start with 350W TDP (Thermal Design Power). Then a new 12-pin PCIe power connector appeared and added more fuel to the fire.
The GeForce RTX 3090’s specifications are not yet clear.
But we can see a graphics card with 5,376 to 7,552 CUDA cores and up to 12GB of GDDR6X memory. The GA102 Silicon is a dice rumored to be suitable for the GeForce RTX 3090. Until Micron pulls our feet, the Nvidia GDDR6X GeForce RTX 3090 memory will go up to 21Gbps. If this were the case, we would expect the 384-bit memory interface to match the memory.
Also shared by the leak who brought us the photos is the estimated price for Nvidia’s Ampere product range. We will be careful with pricing as manufacturers have gotten smarter over the years. And often charge fake prices to replace them right before launching the product. According to Leaker, the GeForce RTX 3090 will sell for $ 1,400, while the GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 3070. And RTX 3060 will sell for $ 800, $ 600, and $ 400, respectively. However, take these numbers with a spoonful of salt.
Looking at past Nvidia flags, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti launched at $ 699. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti finally changed it to $ 999. The price rose to 42.9%, giving rise to big tissue dice in Turing, Tensor, RT Core, and more. If the $ 1,400 GeForce RTX 3090 price tag is valid. The Ampere-based flagship will cost about 40.1% more than the current GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. This is basically the same premium as consumers who are paying for Pioneer Turing.
Nvidia’s pricing strategy has never been generous, and while there is no intense competition at the top. The chipmaker may be able to sell the GeForce RTX 3090 to the desires of its heart.
