The perpetrator of the murder of Oktavia Widiawati (24) alias Monic in Lidah Kulon, Surabaya City, East Java, was finally revealed.
The perpetrator named Yusron Virlanda (20) lived at the scene and was arrested by the Surabaya Police, Surabaya Police.
According to the results of physical identification, the victim suffered burns on his right leg which was black and his left hand was bruised red.
The victim was burned by the perpetrator using a portable stove.
“According to the perpetrator’s statement, this victim was burned using a portable stove. In addition, the victim also had stab wounds,”
said Deputy Chief of Police of the Surabaya Police, AKBP Hartoyo, Wednesday (17 June 2020).
Hartoyo further explained that the arson case was classified as sadistic.
This is because the victim who was helpless was put in a used refrigerator box.
After being discovered by the residents and being investigated, the perpetrator was immediately arrested in Mojokerto.
As for the motive for the perpetrator to commit murder, the officer explained that his motive was because he was upset and was not fully served.
Not only that, but the victim was also said to have threatened by shouting to let the residents know.
Meanwhile, according to the confession of the perpetrator, Yusron, he committed this murder because he was annoyed and threatened.
“I booked him (the victim) for IDR 900 thousand for full service.
