Toilets are usually described as closed spaces without gaps, but there is something different from the others, namely a transparent toilet.
A transparent toilet is located in Japan in Tokyo’s Fukamachi Yoyogi Mini Park and Haru-no-Ogawa Community Park.
This innovation was launched by renowned Japanese Architect Shigeru Ban to let people know whether the toilet is in use or not and know whether the toilet is dirty or clean.
The transparent toilet in the Haru-no-Ogawa Community Park is intentionally designed in green and blue to blend with nature and the leaves around the park.
Meanwhile, Fukamachi Yoyogi Mini Park is designed in orange, pink, and purple colors to enliven the atmosphere of the playground
The design uses smart glass technology that turns the walls opaque when the door is locked and at night turns into a lantern
This public toilet consists of three separate booths for men, women, and people with disabilities.
