In an incident tragic, seven civilians have been killed in a roadside bomb in Ghazni province’s Jaghatu district, eastern Afghanistan.
At least, three women, two children, and two men died after their vehicle struck that bomb.
Wahidullah Jumazada, a spokesman for the provincial governor said, “It became the latest violence in our country amid new uncertainties over the start of talks between the Taliban and the government.”
As cited from a United Nations report, at least 1,282 people were killed and hundreds more were wounded in violence in Afghanistan in the first six months of 2020.
The report also noted that Afghan civilians especially women and children continue affected by the impacts of the armed conflict.
“Until July 2020, more than 40 percent of total civilian casualties killed and the wounded as the impact of the armed conflict, ” Jumazada added.
As information, the talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban have stalled as disagreement over the release of the Taliban’s prisoners.
