During the pandemic, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) students carried out community service activities through the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) program in Siak Regency. This activity aims to help people affected by Covid-19, through community empowerment programs in overcoming the Covid-19 problem, both economic empowerment and health.
The program is officially over today, together with the signing of the Minutes of the Submission of 16 students participating in the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). Implemented directly by the Regional Secretary of Siak Jamaluddin Regency to the Director of Human Resources of IPB, Dr. Heti Mulyati (virtually). In Bandar Siak Room, Floor II.
Acting Regional Secretary Siak Jamaluddin in his remarks expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the IPB Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) program which has been successfully implemented in Siak Regency.
“On behalf of the Siak Regency Government, I would like to express my gratitude and highest appreciation for the implementation of the IPB KKN-T program in Siak Regency. I hope this program can be continued in the future”, he said.
Regional Secretary officials also hope that the disciplines that have been practiced among the people of Siak Regency can be developed as a sustainable economic and public health program.
“We hope together, that the disciplines of IPB students who have been practiced in the community, especially Koto Ringin Village, Mempura District, and Tualang Village, Tualang District, can continue to be developed by the community as a sustainable economic and health empowerment program,” he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Director of Human Resources of IPB, Dr. Heti Mulyati in his speech said that the Thematic Real Work Lecture Activity (KKN-T) for Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Students which has been implemented in Siak Regency with the theme Utilization of Regional Resources and Community Empowerment through Techno Social Entrepreneurship to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals during the Covid-19 Pandemic, both in economy and health.
“Overall, various student activity programs in Siak Regency are a form of community service as a real effort to help achieve economic resilience and public health,” said Dr. Heti Mulyati ending his remarks.
On another occasion, the Chair of the T 01 Real Work Lecture Group Siak, M.Ridho Syakara conveyed the programs and activities that have been carried out to help provide understanding and solutions to the community on how to adapt to new habits and conduct community empowerment related to social, economic, agriculture in a broad sense, industry and the environment in an integrated manner.
“For the Koto Ringin community with oil palm plantations as their main livelihood, we have carried out the Roundtable on Plane Oil Socialization as an effort to increase the community’s economic resilience in oil palm management. We also carry out activities to build a Family Medicine Park as an effort to maintain sustainable public health in the face of a pandemic. Covid-19 “, he explained.
Meanwhile, in Tualang Village, Tualang District, the KKN-T program is focused on implementing a healthy lifestyle according to health protocols and empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
Aku Bersih, one of the KKN-T Kampung Tualang program. This program is an effort to empower young children in honing new life habits in maintaining health, washing hands with soap, wearing masks, and maintaining distance.
“Online Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises is our second flagship program. This program aims to help the people of Tualang District, the majority of whom are traders, to promote the businesses they are engaged in so that they can increase people’s income”, he concluded.
This event was also attended by the Head of the Siak Regency Education and Culture Office, the Tualang District Head and Upika, the Mempura Sub-District Head and Upika, and the Head of Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Siak Regency Government. (Adv)
