A man in Florida, USA, revealed that he lost his wife to the coronavirus, after calling Covid-19 a hoax.
Brian Hitchens and his wife Erin both didn’t believe in the plague.
Before finally, Erin died of a heart problem related to the virus.
The couple ignored recommendations to wear masks when the coronavirus broke out in the US, thinking the pandemic was a hoax.
“I think this is an issue raised by the government, intentionally so that our attention is diverted from something,” said Hitchens to WPTV.
Hitchens admitted that he continued to ignore health protocols until he fell ill himself, with his wife also experiencing symptoms of Covid-19.
Reported by the New York Post Tuesday (25 August 2020), with their condition getting worse, they were rushed to Palm Beach Hospital.
Writing on Facebook last May, Hitchens said they were immediately admitted to intensive care, where conditions began to improve.
But not his wife.
He said the medical team sedated her and put her on a ventilator because her condition was not getting better.
Now, his wife has died of the coronavirus.
Hitchens also admitted that he should take this epidemic seriously and listen to the advice of health experts.
“If I pulled it back, I should have worn a mask. But I ignored it, and now I have to pay the price,” he said.
He said he now hopes that God and his late wife could forgive him if only she knew he passed it on to his wife.
