One resident Muhammad Khatar told AFP as cited News24xx.com, “This time it’s really dragged on. All we want is to eat, drink, and work. We have nothing to do with politics.”
Every day, tanks roam to fill reservoirs in the neighborhoods. But, of course, the quantities are not sufficient to meet the residents’ need for water for drinking, cooking, washing, and bathing.
Many residents complain about some tanker owners who taking advantage of the crisis to raise the prices. Some families are unable to pay the price and are forced to extract unclean well water or seek help from their neighbors to secure even a fraction of their needs.
Until now, the Kurdish Autonomous Administration recorded 394 injuries, including 26 deaths that caused coronavirus.
