The Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology in Jakarta found that a more infectious mutation of the new coronavirus has been found in Indonesia.
The study reported that the “infectious but milder” D614G mutation of the virus has been found in genome-sequencing data from samples. Before, in February 2020, the strain as identifiedand has been circulating in Europe and the America, Singapore and Malaysia.
