The Indragiri Hilir Police, Riau finally succeeded in uncovering two cases of hard water sprinkling that occurred in Tembilahan some time ago.
Of the two cases, Indragiri Hilir Police arrested five suspects. There are 2 suspects from the first case and 3 suspects from the second case.
In the first case, the victim was HRS, a 42-year-old man who was splashed with hard water on Friday, May 22, 2020, at around 18.45 West Indonesian Time. At that time the victim was walking home after completing the evening prayer at the Baituddin Mushollah on Jalan Gunung Daek.
The two suspects arrested were SP alias IJ (37) and JM alias OK (36).
The motive for the two of them to do the watering was known to be out of spite.
For the second case, the victim was BI (43). He was splashed with hard water while in a shop on Friday, July 31, 2020, at around 01.20 WIB on Jalan Pangeran Hidayat Parit 13, Tembilahan Hilir Village, Tembilahan District.
The three suspects arrested were TT (the perpetrator’s brain), BB (executor), and JA (assistant perpetrator).
“From the statement of the perpetrator, the motive behind is family problems and the existence of debit and credit,” said Indragiri Hilir Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Dian Setyawan during a press release at the Indragiri Hilir Police Headquarters, on Monday, August 31, 2020.
