A toddler in Taiwan becomes entangled in a giant kite and is carried through the air to a height of several meters.
Fortunately, this 3 year old toddler girl survived.
As reported by Channel News Asia and the Associated Press, Monday (August 31, 2020), this incident occurred during a kite festival in the seaside town of Nanliao on Sunday (30 August) local time.
The toddler suddenly became entangled in a giant, orange kite with a long tail.
In the video recorded at the location, it appears that the toddler is ‘flying’ in the air carried by a kite.
He was also seen circling several times above the crowd.
After about half a minute the toddler was carried away by the kite into the air, the kite was successfully pulled back to the mainland.
The boy was caught by adults who reached out into the air to catch him.
According to local media reports, the toddler felt terrified as he was carried into the air.
But luckily, he didn’t get hurt at all.
However, it is not clear where the toddler’s parents were when this incident occurred and how the toddler got caught in a giant kite.
The local authorities immediately suspended the kite festival after the incident.
