An Indian man named Anand Nageshiya was happy when he returned to his family in Aamdarha village after more than 15 years in jail.
In his home in Ambikapur, North Chhattisgarh, he was most joyful to meet his daughter Yamini.
As report from Indian Express, Anand, 40, was in prison for killing his paternal uncle over a dispute back in 2005.
But he was hit by reality when he saw his daughter struggling in the online classes because she did not have gadgets. Now, his daughter is in Class 12 of a government school.
As information, due to the COVID threat, his daughter should to struggling in the online classes, as the only way for her to study.
Then, the man decided to bought her a smartphone.
Anand’s move to buy the smartphone shows that while he may have not been there to see his daughter grow up, he is still the father she needs.
But, where did he get the money?
“I was moved when my daughter told me she was not having any device to attend online classes. She wished to become a doctor. I realised the importance of education while in jail. I will leave no stone unturned to ensure my daughter doesn’t face any hurdle to pursue her dream,” he told the Indian Express.
Anand was released from jail early due to good conduct. And taking responsibility as the first chance are signs that he has not forgotten his duty as a father.
