The Corona G42 vaccine has been claimed to have obtained an emergency use authorization by the Chinese authorities.
“This Covid-19 vaccine candidate has obtained an Emergency Use Permit from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Drug Supervisory Regulator, namely the National Medicines Products Administration (NMPA) in July 2020 based on the results of phase 1 and 2 clinical trials and has obtained halal certification,” said the Head of BPOM Penny Kusumastuti Lukito in a written statement, Tuesday (September 1).
Sinopharm has previously conducted phase one and two clinical trials, then a phase three clinical trial will be conducted in the UAE with a total of 22,000 participants from 119 world-renowned nationalities so that the clinical trials can provide valid results.

Apart from Sinopharm, there are two other vaccine candidates that will be used, namely the Sinovac vaccine in collaboration with Bio Farma Company, and Genexine in collaboration with Kalbe Farma Company.
The three of them are vaccine candidates from the Indonesian government’s international cooperation.
