Ivan Rakitic who is a Barcelona midfielder decided to officially return to Sevilla.
Barcelona has announced the certainty of Rakitic’s transfer on his official twitter account on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Rakitic has reportedly transferred to his former club, Sevilla.
Rakitic got his contract with a duration of four years from the Andalusian club.
Rakitic has become a mainstay in midfield and played a big role in helping Barcelona win the treble winners in the 2014/2015 season.
Rakitic’s transfer to Sevilla was also influenced by his wife’s request. Ivan Rakitic also served as captain when Sevilla won the 2013/2014 Europa League.
