The good news for the people of Siak Regency, that now the Sehati Siak Main Clinic is launching “Sehati Care Online” which is an online specialist consultation (telemedicine) service with specialist doctors at the Sehati Main Clinic.
As we know, the spread of the Covid-19 virus makes patients think again if they want to go to a health facility. Finally, this makes patients prefer to endure the pain rather than going to a health facility and are at risk of infection, especially for those who have chronic diseases with regular doctor control schedules or other diseases.
As for the latest data, as of September 1, 2020, 373 patients in Siak district were confirmed positive for Covid-19, 133 were still being treated, 214 were healthy, 19 people were isolated from Mandiri and 7 people died, and there were 5923 suspected Covid-19 people.
Meanwhile, going to a health facility during this pandemic sometimes raises concerns, especially when the Covid-19 case is increasing in the Siak Regency, which not only threatens patients, this is also a threat to doctors where patients are treated without symptoms typical of COVID- 19. So, as suggested by the government, online consultation or telemedicine is the solution.
Responding to the community’s need to continue to have consultations with doctors from their respective homes, the Sehati Siak Main Clinic presents outpatient telemedicine services that can be accessed online from home so that patients can still seek treatment without having to come and queue to health facilities or clinics, according to Indonesian medical council regulation no 74 of 2020 concerning clinical competence and medical practice through telemedicine during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Sehati Siak Main Clinic, dr Devi Gusmaiyanto SpA, M. Biomed, said the launch of virtual consultation services (telemedicine) for specialist doctors at the main clinic of Sehati, consisting of pediatricians, surgeons, eye specialists, lung specialists, genital skin specialists. and clinical pathology specialists, as well as general practitioner services.

According to the time agreed with the doctor, the main clinic paramedic will contact the patient via WhatsApp video call and when he is connected to the patient, the doctor will be connected.
“All patient complaints, diagnoses, and treatments are recorded in the medical record by the paramedic of the main clinic of Sehati and the medicine can be picked up or delivered directly,” said Head of the Main Clinic Sehati Siak, Dr. Devi Gusmaiyanto SpA, M. Biomedic.
