Tragic, Charles McMillon Jr., with his 10-year-old son and Kendrick Clemons were sitting in McMillon’s truck before a white Florida couple shooting them.
At that time, the two looked behind them and saw an older couple approaching the truck shouting for the men to surrender.
The white Florida couple was arrested last week. The shooters were identified as Wallace Fountain, 77, and his wife, Beverly Fountain, 72.
McMillon told the Tallahassee Democrat as cited by News24xx.com that after dropping off a U-Haul van at the rental location in Tallahassee on Thursday night, a gunshot was fired.
McMillon managed to drive off as more shots rang out.
McMillon said. “I didn’t even know where I was going. It was a life-threatening situation. I had my head down and I was making sure my son was covered.”
McMillon, who said his truck was parked under a street lamp. McMillon and Clemons were not injured but have sued the Fountains and U-Haul.
