A husband in Karangsari Village, Bojong District, Pekalongan was determined to burn himself and his wife and children alive.
He burnt his wife and children first before ending his own life in the same way.
The tragic incident occurred at the house of the perpetrator, namely Khuzaeri (58), a resident of Karangsari Village, Bojong District, Pekalongan, on Saturday (29 Agustus) morning.
The house is inhabited by 3 families.
The perpetrator named Amir (35) is suspected of having committed his sadistic actions because prolonged quarrels always occur in his household.
What’s more, the perpetrator who previously worked in a mine in Bangka Belitung, is now unemployed after the Corona pandemic.
This unfortunate incident began when Amir argued with his wife, Muamalah (Mala) until late at night.
The quarrel between the two is said to have been a common occurrence since Amir was no longer working.
It’s just that, at that time Amir’s anger could not be contained.
Amir’s threat to burn his wife and children is not just bluff.
After a big fight around 11.00 am, the perpetrator left the house to the Bojong gas station.
The goal is to buy Pertamax fuel for IDR 50,000, filled with jerry cans.
After the perpetrator returned with the fuel, an argument broke out again with his wife.
Even this time the door was deliberately locked by the perpetrator.
The perpetrator’s uncle named Aris tried to open the bedroom door.
However, he was actually yelled at by the perpetrator for not taking part in his household affairs.
Until finally the fight stopped itself until Saturday morning.
However, Aris and the perpetrator’s father-in-law Khuzaeri were still waiting in front of the perpetrator’s room.
At around 03.00 am, Khuzaeri and Aris smelled fuel.
Not long after that, the two of them saw flames from inside the room and a puff of smoke.
“I immediately asked the residents for help and tried to break the door. But the arena could not be locked from the inside. I could enter after the bedroom door caught fire,” said Aris (38), yesterday.
The fire condition is getting bigger. However, Aris and Khuzaeri were extinguished, breaking through the fire to save the three victims.
Amir’s wife and children were immediately rushed to Kajen Regional Hospital, while Amir was rushed to Pekajangan Hospital.
Segaja hospital is separated between the perpetrator and his wife and children.
Muamalah and her son, Nafisa, entered the Kajen Regional Hospital IGD at around 03.45 pm.
Nafisa had the worst burns, reaching 100 percent, while her mother had grade 3 burns, 53 percent.
Because his injuries were so bad, this three year old boy died at around 9:50 am.
Not even after Nafisa’s funeral, the family received sad news again.
Muamalah, who was supposed to be referred to the Semarang hospital, died around 02.00 pm.
Muamalah was buried next to the grave of her son, Nafisa.
Meanwhile, 85 percent of Amir’s condition is still undergoing medical treatment at RSI Pekajangan.
