The Regent of Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), HM Wardan accompanied by his wife, Zulaikhah Wardan, directly reviewed the process of taking native forest honey in Bagan Kera Hamlet, Teluk Kabung Village, Gaung District, Inhil on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020.
On this occasion, also attended by Dandim 0314 Inhil Imir Faisal, The Police Chief of Inhil Dian Setiawan, Chairman of Regional House of Representatives of Inhil Feriandi and the number of Echelon II officials in the district government of Inhil.
According to the Regent, apart from coconut fruit which is used as a superior commodity in Gaung District, it turns out that the native forest honey found in the Sialang trees in the Upper Gaung River has also been used as a superior product of the region.
“The native forest honey in Teluk Kabung Village is a superior commodity for the Gaung District area. So, it is very necessary to continue to be preserved,” said Mr. Wardan.
In addition, the Regent also mentioned the contained in native forest honey, that has substances to cure various diseases.
“There are many benefits, honey is also a medicine for all kinds of diseases. Because it’s natural and not mixed with other elements, so it produces the best quality honey,” said HM Wardan.
The Regent also hopes that the honey management process can be maintained, and preserved.
