A total of 297 Rohingya refugees, Myanmar, were stranded in Lhokseumawe, Aceh.
Currently, they are still in the tourist location of Ujong Blang beach.
“They were stranded and then rescued by our fishermen,” said Deputy Secretary General of Aceh Laot Commander Miftach Cut Adek when confirmed, Monday (7 September 2020).
The Rohingya refugees were stranded this morning at around 00.30 am.

Once arrived, the immigrant immediately got off the ship. Local residents then gathered them in one location.
Based on provisional data, the number of Rohingya stranded in this second period was 297 people.
The details, 181 women, 14 children, and the rest are men.
Immigration officers assisted by the TNI-Polri are still recording the identity of the refugees.
It is not known how long they had been at sea before arriving at Lhokseumawe.
