A public investigation into the terror attack at Manchester Arena, England, which killed 22 people is about to begin.
The trial comes more than three years after Salman Abedi detonated a bomb when a crowd left a music concert on May 22, 2017 which killed him and 22 other people.
The trial was originally planned to be held in June, but was delayed by the trial of Abedi’s brother, who was later sentenced on August 20 to 55 years in prison for 22 acts of murder.
The investigation into the attack in Manchester will be conducted at Manchester Madgistrat Court, which is located less than a mile from where the bombing took place.
Home Minister Priti Patel said the investigation would have a much broader scope.
The investigation, which will be led by Sir John Saunders, will find out if the attack could have been prevented.
