In India, the number of rapes has only increased. This year has seen several gruesome attacks on women and girls in Delhi or other areas in India.
As cited News24xx.com from the National Crime Records Bureau, in 2018, known that Indian authorities recorded nearly 34,000 rape cases.
It means, one rape occurred for every 15 minutes. But, the true figures are believed to be significantly higher.
But the organization believed that many victims might not report their attack.
One of women’s activist named Yogita Bhayana, who works for the People Against Rapes in India organization told that she have met a month-old girl and a women in their 60s who’ve been raped.
In another case, a 19-year-old female coronavirus patient was allegedly raped by an ambulance driver en route to the hospital over the weekend. Then, a 13-year-old girl was raped and murder by two men in a sugarcane field last month.
The Indian Express reports, that two men has been arrested.
