A grandmother named Slamet (70) lives in a bamboo house near a chicken coop in Klaten.
Mbah Slamet has lived in the house for six months.
“Previously (Mbah Slamet) lived in the same house with my family.
But because the back of the house has a broken roof, I made a place here, “said Slamet’s nephew, Hartono (38), to detikcom at Mbah Slamet’s house, Klalung Hamlet, Majegan Village, Tulung District, Klaten, Tuesday (4 August 2020 ).
Hartono revealed that Mbah Slamet, who has no husband and child, has been living in her family’s house since 2012.
Mbah Slamet is the older brother of his mother who has now passed away.
Hartono built a bamboo house on the village treasury land which is about 10 meters from his house for Mbah Slamet’s residence.
Hartono said that this simple bamboo house never leaked.
Sometimes, his father even lived there.
Based on observations, the bamboo house that Slamet lives in is 3×4 meters in size.
The walls are made of bamboo and connected by makeshift wooden boards.
There is no furniture other than a bed board and a kitchenette.
While in front of the house is used for free-range chicken.
Besides that, the house occupied by the Hartono family also looks simple.
The house is across the street from the bamboo house where Mbah Slamet lived.
The house occupied by the Hartono family is only about 3×6 meters in size.
The walls of the house are only bricks that have not been plastered. The roof terrace is supported only by wood.
