The Head of Representative Office for Bank Indonesia, Riau Province, represented by Assistant Director of Early Childhood Nur Setiawati, handed over the denomination of IDR 75 thousand directly to the Regent of Siak, Alfedri.
The money was handed over at the Sabak Auh Health Center, on Thursday, Sept 10, 2020.
“Today, I handed over the denomination of IDR 75 thousand, a special edition denomination for Indonesia’s independence to Mr. Alfedri,” said Dini.
Dini also told, “For those who want this new denomination, you can place an exchange order via the smart.bi.go.id website or ask on the bank_indonesia_riau Instagram account,” she said.
She explained, the special printing for independence only 75 million copies, and was launched on Indonesia’s 75th Independence Day on August 17, 2020.
This money will be handed over to residents with a number of conditions, including that each citizen may only have 1 sheet.
She said the residents must fill out a personal identity number (KTP) form as a condition.
For information, Bank Indonesia has issued a special edition printed currency, independence 10 times.
The Regent of Siak Alfedri expressed his gratitude for having and receiving the special edition money for the 75th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia.
“Thank you very much to Bank Indonesia, the representative of Riau, for giving this special edition money,” he said.
Alfedri said the public can exchange of IDR 75,000 to Bank Indonesia by collectively and this money can be used as a form of the payment transaction, but it is better if the money is kept as a collection because it is specially issued for the celebration of the 75th Indonesian Independence Day.
