A 17-year-old girl in South Africa was raped by 11 men from three different groups on a soccer field after she was kidnapped.
Police on Thursday said the attack took place in the town of Tsolo on Friday night last week.
Police are still hunting 11 men who were accused of being the perpetrators.
According to police, the victim was first attacked by four men who kidnapped him onto a soccer field.
The victim then died. However, after she died, the victim was raped again by four men and then by three men.
Officers investigating this shocking crime don’t know whether the three groups of attackers know each other or not.
Local media, The Citizen, reported that the attack on the victim began at around 10 am last Friday.
Police said the 17-year-old victim was originally walking home from a friend’s house.
Suddenly four strangers caught her and dragged her to the soccer field.
The four people, police said, were followed by two groups of four men and three men.
The two groups did not help the victim but instead attacked the victim even though she had died.
The Eastern Cape provincial police chief, Liziwe Ntshinga, condemned the incident and called for justice for the victims.
