China is reportedly deploying 50,000 troops along with 150 fighter jets and surface-to-air missiles (SAM) to areas close to the disputed border with India.
Beijing’s move is reportedly to bully New Delhi after the border dispute heats up again.
The two forces had previously been involved in a confrontation in the Ladakh region, in which the Indian military opened fire warning shots.
According to Indian defense experts, New Delhi is well prepared for any eventuality, with their armed forces strengthening their front positions in the highlands to counter a new military buildup from Beijing.
Beijing’s deployment of thousands of troops and hundreds of fighter jets is intelligence collected from high-ranking Indian officials as reported by TimesNow, Friday (10 September 2020).
Most of these troops and combat weapons are now based in Xinjiang and Tibet, which are close to the de-facto border.
However, India has directed clear warnings towards Beijing not to breach the Indian perimeter around its front posts, including the construction of high-altitude barbed wire.
