Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI from the PKS faction, Abdul FIkri Faqih, reminded the importance of the government to mainstream the creative economy sector in the national development program from now on.
The creative economy is proposed to be the commander in the national economic recovery program that is being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic storm.
This sector is considered very potential, because the richness of culture and art based on local wisdom in Indonesia is very abundant and unlimited.
“The creative economy sector must be revived side by side with the tourism sector. During the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic, this sector experienced a sharp decline,” he said.
Fiqri said the main problem was the difficulty in developing the creative economy sector, due to limited access to finance.
“There are no creative economy players who are facilitated by banking or non-banking. (Because) on average they do not have collateral,” said Fikri.
Even though Law 24 of 2019 concerning the creative economy encourages the creation of an ecraf ecosystem on a national scale supported by an intellectual property-based financing system.
“Supposedly, financing for creative economy actors can be assisted by collateral based on intellectual property rights.
Not to mention that the marketing of the product is also still finding obstacles here and there.
This is where the importance of including creative economy actors in the paradigm of national development, “he said.
