Samsung just launched a bunch of new products in August, but another Galaxy Unpacked event is now scheduled. On September 23, Samsung will host another event where we expect the company to officially unveil its Galaxy S20 FE.
With the invitation mentioned below, Samsung teases its next new smartphone which will be unveiled later this month. This next event is called “Galaxy Unpacked for Every Fan”, which strongly refers to the rumored name of this upcoming smartphone, the Galaxy S20 FE, or “Fan Edition”.
The program will be broadcast on 23rd at 10 AM EST / 7 PM PDT, but Samsung is not providing any further details at this time.
Fortunately, we already know a lot about this upcoming smartphone.
According to recent leaks including an information dump from WinFuture, the Galaxy S20 FE will be a largely affordable version of the Galaxy S20 + which was launched earlier this year with mediocre reviews. The phone is expected to come in six colors – two of which are in the official teaser image from Samsung – and retain the Snapdragon 865 display, 120 Hz, and triple camera array.
To reduce its price, Samsung has reduced the screen to 1080p, reduced the RAM to just 6GB, and reduced other specs like camera sensors. It is still a respectable offering, and users will especially appreciate it because it will come at a lower price. Also recently, the device has appeared on Verizon, which confirms that it will hit the US market.
