A soldier from the Malaysian Armed Forces allegedly attempted suicide after he jumped from the third floor at a military camp in Batu Pahat.
He suffered severe head injuries, the wounded soldier was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital (HSNI), according to Inspector Muhammad Izzudin R Sungai, Deputy Head of the Batu Pahat Police.
Unfortunately, the soldier died in the hospital’s ICU ward on September 6 at 02.30 pm.
According to Harian Metro, an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of the soldier’s death.
Investigations will continue from all aspects to find further causes of his premature death.
A Facebook post believed to have been made by a military comrade stated that the victim was absent for six months and was asked to report back for service at the military base on August 28.
