Nevaeh Lowe, a five year old girl from England sent a letter addressed to “heaven”.
She wrote the letter when his favorite cat, Tin Tin, passed away.
After her feline friend left her, Nevaeh felt devastated and worried that Tin Tin would be alone.
She wrote a letter to Tin Tin with the address “the brightest star in the clouds, heaven”, to make sure Tin Tin was okay there.
“I miss you so much, you are the best cat ever, I love you and I will never forget you,” wrote the letter Nevaeh.
She also includes a photo of them together for Tin Tin to keep. “I have pictures of you and now you have too, honey, Nevaeh.”
According to the Mirror, Nevaeh was struggling to sleep after Tin Tin’s death because she was suffering from heart failure.
She decides to say goodbye to Tin Tin, even though her mother tells her that heaven may be too far away to send letters.
Nevaeh insisted and they dropped the letter into the post box.
Surprisingly, they received a parcel in the mail a week later.
It turns out that Nevaeh’s letter was answered by one of the postmen at Royal Mail, a British postal service company.
The officer who saw the letter decided to reply.
“I want you to know that I am well and have some good friends here,” read the letter.
“I know you are sad that I wasn’t there with you but please don’t. Here is a little cat who I think looks like me. So if you feel sad you can hug him like you used to, “
The postman gave a small doll and a book along with the letter.
Ms. Nevaeh said they didn’t expect any response, and were surprised when they received the parcel.
“Getting a response is the last thing we hope for, and I am very grateful to Royal Mail and the postman for writing the letter and sending it to us – and of course for the toys too,” said Ms. Nevaeh.
After getting the letter, Nevaeh began to forget about the loss and was a little happier, her sleep also returned to normal after finding out that Tin Tin was fine.
