Apple Watch Series 6 gets U1 chip
While Apple focused on the Blood Oxygen app, new processors, bright screen, and cool new colors that you can get from the Apple Watch Series 6, the Apple U1 chip wasn’t much interested in being part of the new hardware.
Of course, the U1 chip is an ultra-wide chip intended to improve location tracking features and was included in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models last year. It is the first Apple Watch model to receive the chip and is the only one. The newly announced Apple Watch SE does not feature a chip.
There is a lot of speculation that the U1 chip is what you’ll need to work with the rumored Airtag Bluetooth trackers to be able to detect items.

It has almost all the features of the Apple Watch Series 6 – it just misses the Blood Oxygen and ECG apps – but it comes in fewer colors and materials. It may have an older Apple Watch Series 5 processor, but overall, the $ 120 price difference makes it an attractive product.
Apple Watch Shipping Brick Dies
