The Government of Indragiri Hilir Regency (Pemkab) finally issued the Indragiri Hilir Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 50 of 2020 that concerning the application of discipline and enforcement of health protocol laws as an effort to prevent and control Covid-19 in the Indragiri Hilir Regency.
The Regent Regulation states that Indragiri Hilir residents who violate the health protocols will be subject to sanctions in the form of oral and written warnings, social work, and administrative fines of IDR 100 thousand for individual offenders.
Meanwhile, the business actors, managers, and persons in charge of public premises and facilities will be threatened with an administrative fine of IDR 1 million, up to the forced dissolution of activities to revocation of business licenses.
The Head of Regent Regulation of Enforcement Operations, Tantawi Jauhari, explained that the purpose of issuing the Indragiri Hilir Regent Regulation to increase the participation of citizens and the stakeholders to prevent an increase in the transmission and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We also want to encourage the residents to comply with the implementation of clean and healthy living habits and have awareness in efforts to prevent Covid-19,” he continued.
“The law enforcement will begin on October 1 after the socialization period is over,” said Tantawi Jauhari on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020.
