For the second time, Israel decided to a nationwide lockdown at the onset of the Jewish high holiday season, amid a resurgence in new coronavirus cases.
The lockdown is forcing the Israeli to stay at home and to begin at 2 pm (1100 GMT) and will last three weeks.
The new lockdown, which is due coincides with the start of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana.
As information, Rosh Hashana is a time for large family gatherings and group prayer. Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement that begins at sunset on September 27.
The government makes new rules :
- The Israelis must stay within 500 metres (546 yards) of home
- Workplaces will operate on a limited basis.
