After the Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan reinstated the PSBB, until today, the authorities in the Jakarta Metro Area have recorded 22,801 people that violating health protocols, in just four days. The violators are from Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi City.
The violating health protocols are including wearing masks.
As information, the Jakarta Metro police have rolled out a mask patrol known as the Yustisi Operation. Yustisi Operation is held to maintain health discipline in Jakarta, and also to curb Covid-19 transmission.
For the punishment, Jakarta Metro Police PR chief, Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus, said some of the violators paid fines while others have given community service sentences.
The fines have amounted to IDR 191,233,500.
Yusri told on Friday, 18 September 2020, “During the Operation Yustisi, the Jakarta Metro Police join hands with the TNI and the Jakarta Provincial Government. And we also deploying 6,800 officers across the metro area.”
Anies have restricting workplaces to operate with no more than 25 percent capacity and closing all entertainment and tourism venues.
