Inhil-Two housing units located at RT 04, RW 16 on Jalan Telaga Biru, Tembilahan Hulu, Indragiri Hilir (Inhil), were sold out on fire, Sunday (20/8/2020) afternoon.
The two houses are occupied by M Jumri (26) and Arjuli (39). In addition, another house unit belonging to Zulkarnain (46) was slightly damaged as a result of the fire.
The Kapolsek Tembilahan Hulu, AKP Rhino Handoyo, when confirmed, said that from witness testimony, the fire came from one of the houses that was empty and left and went outside.
“Then Jumri’s neighbor, Arjuli, took things out of the house. Because the house is made of semi-permanent, the fire spreads quickly and grows,” said AKP Rhino.
Arjuli then shouted for help from the surrounding community. Furthermore, the community extinguished the fire with makeshift equipment.
At around 18.20 WIB, the fire was extinguished after Inhil sent two fire engines.
“The loss due to the fire incident is estimated at approximately Rp. 100 million. There were no fatalities in the incident and the origin of the fire is still under investigation. This case is handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tembilahan Hulu Police,” said the Kapolsek.
