After opening in September 2019 last year, finally the Darul Hadist Sultan Yahya Islamic Boarding School, Siak District, received assistance from three classrooms from PT. Bumi Siak Pusako through CSR funds.
The construction of the Study Classroom (RKB) began with the laying of the first stone by Regent Siak Alfedri, Chairman of the DPRD Siak Azmi, along with other invited guests.
Chairman of the Darul Hadist Islamic Boarding School Foundation Sultan Yahya Abdul Rasyid Suharto said that the Darul Hardist Islamic boarding school was one of the ideas of the Regent Siak Alfedri, who was supported by the Ministry of Religion Siak, MUI Siak Regency, the National Waqf Board representatives of Siak Regency, Baznas of Siak well as the Waqf Nazirs.
“The name itself is taken from the name of the 6th Sultan Siak, namely Sultan Yahya, as a form of respect for the services of the Sultans”, explained Rasyid.
Darul Hadist Sultan Yahya Islamic Boarding School aims to produce a generation of hadith scholars, whose knowledge and insight are broad,
“Darul Hadist Sultan Yahya Islamic Boarding School, entered the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School with the equivalent education of Wusto and Aulia. For now, the Islamic Boarding School diploma has been recognized by the state, which can be used to continue to higher education,” said Rasyid.
In his speech, the Regent of Siak Alfedri said that he really wanted Tahfiz Hadist in Siak, therefore, he tried to build a Tahfiz Hadist Islamic Boarding School under the name Darul Hadist Sultan Yahya, and thank God his intention was granted.
“When I opened the MTQ in 2019, I thought why not build the Tahfiz Hadist Islamic Boarding School, while the branch already has a branch for the MTQ competition”, explained Alfedri.
And Alhamdulillah, Darul Hadist Sultan Yahya Islamic Boarding School is the first Tahfiz Hadist Islamic Boarding School in Riau Province. And with the existence of the Tahfiz Hadist Islamic boarding school, it has increased the number of Islamic boarding schools in Siak Regency to 34 Islamic boarding schools that are spread across almost all the districts in Siak Regency. And God willing, this is one of the Government’s commitments in increasing religious values in society, through the existence of Islamic boarding schools.
“Hopefully with the existence of the Tahfiz Hadist Islamic boarding school, it will become a center for the development of Hadiths and produce scholars in Siak Regency in the future”, Alfedri hoped.
Still said Alfedri, We should also be grateful that currently the interest of parents to enroll their children in Islamic boarding schools is very high, as currently, the number of students in Islamic boarding schools in Siak Regency has reached 1,100.
