The Police Resort of Indragiri Hilir, Riau managed to secure the perpetrators of the theft with an unsettling weight (nozzle), especially for the residents in the Beringin Tembilahan River.
The man with the initials NM was arrested Monday night, Sept. 28, 2020, at Jendral Sudirman street, Tembilahan.
After being secured, the 58-year-old man admitted that he had committed theft with weight.
Along with the suspect, the police also secured evidence in the form of three cellphones with different brands.
“The perpetrator and evidence were brought to the Tembilahan Police for further investigation by the Tembilahan Police Criminal Unit,” explained of the Police Chief of Indragiri Hilir, AKBP Dian Setyawan, through the Head of Public Relations of the Indragiri Hilir Police, AKP Warno.
The man who worked as a daily laborer was arrested based on reports from residents on H Khalid street, Sungai Beringin Village whose house was ransacked by the perpetrator on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.
