A man in Bargarh, Odisha, India was arrested for trying to sell fake COVID-19 vaccines.
Prahallad Bisi, 32, was arrested in a raid on his residence in Rushuda under the Bheden Police station area.
According to the police report, during the raid, police found 12 bottles of fake injections, labels, and syringes.
According to Sashmita Dehury, the Drug Inspector in Bargarh said, Bisi had planned to sell a COVID-19 vaccine in the market.
“When asked how he made the vaccine, and what is the content? He said it was a secret and did not want to reveal it. But he claims that the vaccine is 100 percent effective,” said another inspector.
Sashmita said that they have seized injection vials with a label reading ‘COVID-19 vaccine. And if required, they will send those glass vials for testing after taking permission from the court
