Finally, the US President, Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania have contracted the coronavirus.
As cited News24xx.com from DailyStar, the news comes hours after Trump’s aide Hope Hicks also tested positive. Known, that Hicks flying with the President on board Air Force One, just a few days before.
Through his Twitter, Trump tweeted: “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”
Melania also wrote in her Twitter and saying: “As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”
Trump has gone into instant quarantine and Melania also isolate, but US guidance says those infected should isolate for 14 days.
Even, the staff who have not tested positive are urged to isolate for 14 days and the officials at the White House have cleared the President’s upcoming schedule, now.
Before had infected, Trump has maintained his busy schedule in recent weeks to makes campaigns and interacting with thousands at rallies across the country.
And he has been slammed for his response to the pandemic which has killed more than 208,000 people in America.
